I personally know Karl Knutsen of Manteca who happens to be a JROTC instructor at East Union High School, that in addition to his job he volunteers lots of time helping in the community and helping his students, and that he teaches CPR including to other teachers in key positions (e.g. ones who would be most likely to be able to save lives). Not sure if this training is done during school time or on his own time. I do know he donates his time many weekends to benefit the public at large.

He has taught many classes and late last year a life was saved due to the training he provided . . .
