Dept of Energy solar decathlon

Hey, the Department of Energy is trying new ways to innovate, and to get the word out.

If you're in Washington DC, check out the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2009 team houses on the National Mall. It runs from October 9-18, 2009. 20 teams of college and university students are competing to design, build, and operate the most attractive, effective, and energy-efficient solar-powered house. The public is invited to see the powerful combination of solar energy, energy efficiency, and the best in home design.
