If it were used for TRUE emergencies (i.e Katrina, 9-11), then I'd be fine with the government sending messages without opting-in... But three messages a week is just PLAYTIME for the BORED...

I see you have to Opt-In for the service... which is a good thing in some ways, bad in other ways.

I think other governments are using text messaging to reach people about critical issues BY DEFAULT (perhaps with an Opt-OUT option). Here in our country, I think an Opt-In option is better for "three heath messages a week"!?!?!? NO WAY!

And it's ripe for abuse by propagandists... and alarmists...

Personally, I like about 50% of Americans, are OPPOSED to the H1N1 Vaccine.
