Hey, about 50,000 people die every day as a result of extreme poverty.

You can help reduce world hunger and poverty by joining a global event called Stand Up & Take Action on October 16 – 18, 2009. Citizens around the world will pressure their leaders to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which 189 countries — includingthe U.S. — pledged to reach by 2015. Last year, 116 million people participated in Stand Up!
