hey, the deal with SeeClickFix is that it's about people working with local problems they need fixed.
You can report problems, and then they're sent to local gov't to get them fixed. To some extent, you can even track progress.
Also, you can define a "watch area" and see what people report.
For example, the watch area for San Francisco 311 is http://seeclickfix.com/watch_area/349 which sends emails to content.311@sfgov.org.
An example: Traffic backup at Arco, Fell & Divis.
I feel this is a pretty good system, something that gets real stuff done, at near zero cost.
Great to see that you've written a post about SeeClickFix. As I said in Aspen, it's a fabulous product that is brilliant in its simplicity. Potentially interesting applications for journalism, and a convenient tool for keeping your local government (and neighbors, for that matter) accountable. They have a great, lean team and it should be interesting to watch them as they expand.

Why not incorporate the tool on craigslist? Some of these problems are serious... Like potholes... So you'd be doing the community a great service :)
