Update re Who's Spock? or, Nerds Win?

Days ago, I mentioned that I had just seen the new Trek movie, and showed you the Vulcan gesture here, which I prefer to think of as the "nerd salute."

Turns out, the nerds really have won.

From a Newsweek A Highly Logical Approach, the President speaks:

So Star Trek, we saw this weekend, which I thought was good. Everybody was saying I was Spock, so I figured I should check it out and—[the president makes the Vulcan salute with his hand].
