Where was this forty years ago?

Even the most quirky of computer nerds can learn to flirt with finesse thanks to a new "flirting course" being offered to budding IT engineers at Potsdam University south of Berlin.
The course, which starts next Monday, is part of the social skills section of the IT course…

There is a program on Cable TV, the guy with the furry hat teaches nerds how to score with women . . .
It does seem to build confidence in the guys on the show, at least many of them.
Oh, perhaps you were not referring to that type of finess, or whatever those type of skills are called.
The program has plenty of names for this or that skill.
