Looks like Obama picks Julius Genachowski to head FCC

The Wall Street Journal reports that Julius Genachowski will be the new FCC chairman.
This is really good news, he's the real deal, he's very smart about tech issues and the way people can use tech for innovation and to improve American governance. He's completely independent and free from the influence of special interests.
thank god he's not likely to think the internet is "just a bunch of tubes" ! Good choice, Obama.
I tried to do some research on the guy, and there's really not a lot out there other than standard biography stuff; that's kind of odd in and of itself. I'll say this, though; it's about time someone with at least a background in media gets this job.
And a big plus is that he's gay.
