Dear Craig, The photo of the woman screaming reminds me of how I feel about your supposedly "democratic" creation… Craigslist. I am a post-op transwoman, someone who is a single parent, a former school teacher and graphic artist. Your website (yes, I know you're no longer CEO) is riddled with transphobia and bigotry. For the past month, I've attempted to place a (non-sexual) personal ad under W4M only to have it flagged and deleted 5-6 times a day. No, I don't feel like posting in Misc. Romance with folks who are into BDSM (not into it), cross-dressers (men), sex workers (never done that) or non-ops (I respect them but we're coming from a different place). Maybe that woman is screaming in the photo because she's being followed by a gang of bigots trying to force her off the site. So much for democracy and human rights. Yes, I feel like a marsupial, hanging on for dear life while a bunch of ignorant bullies are trying to whack me off a branch. Craig, let's not pretend Craiglist is in any way progressive if I have an "Female" on my birth certificate and passport, but am forced to try and find love in the "tranny" ghetto. Shame on you and Buckmaster for creating a site where people can get lynched in this manner. Progressive… not bloody likely.
