Apparently we can take our iPhones back and get them exchanged for new ones that have intact camera lens anti-reflective coating. Or we can carefully polish off the remnants of the coating (which is what I'm doing, a little at a time in the pocket of my jeans) and the reflectivity issues you see in this image will improve somewhat.
