I was wondering what kind of a Chair at UC Berkeley. It is an endowed chair in new media and the Hewlett Foundation also donated to the new chair according to this article http://www.cyberjournalist.net/craigslist-to-establish-first-uc-berkeley-endowed-chair-in-new-media/

And here is a UC article about the chair
http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/article/17182

Even MSNBC chimed in here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22711794/

SFGate chimed in also but show $113 million from Hewlett http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2008/01/17/MN19UGDJ1.DTL

are you kidding. The local dailies must die, and so must all newspapers.
Paper doesnt grow on trees!..trees are cut for it.
No thanks. I'll get my news and stuff on the web.

Great show!...
Now how can we get "Craigslist" to work in tandem with the local daily newspapers, so that each may benefit from the other?

It would be unfortunate to see the local dailies go away.

This comment isn't at all relevant to the post. (I couldn't find an email address for you so figured this might work.)

Have you ever considered writing an autobiography? Helping people to do that is my livelihood, and you are at the top of my "dream client" list. You have a most unusual sense of values and I would love to learn what makes you tick. I'll bet a lot of people would. Anyway, I thought it couldn't hurt to plant the idea in that fascinating noggin of yours, since I suspect you're too modest ever to come up with it yourself.
