Jim gets the credit regarding the craigslist endowed chair at UC Berkeley

If you've heard of this, to clarify, it's craigslist doing it, not the Craigslist Foundation.

Jim gets the credit, this is really smart, and I'm looking forward to see what happens.

... and for those of you who've been complimenting me on (what you perceive) as my endowment, why... thank you!

Have you ever considered writing an autobiography? Helping people to do that is my livelihood, and you are at the top of my "dream client" list. You have a most unusual sense of values and I would love to learn what makes you tick. I'll bet a lot of people would. Anyway, I thought it couldn't hurt to plant the idea in that fascinating noggin of yours, since I suspect you're too modest ever to come up with it yourself.

Great show!...
Now how can we get "Craigslist" to work in tandem with the local daily newspapers, so that each may benefit from the other?

It would be unfortunate to see the local dailies go away.
jack barry in the Sunset.

are you kidding. The local dailies must die, and so must all newspapers.
Paper doesnt grow on trees!..trees are cut for it.
No thanks. I'll get my news and stuff on the web.

I was wondering what kind of a Chair at UC Berkeley. It is an endowed chair in new media and the Hewlett Foundation also donated to the new chair according to this article http://www.cyberjournalist.net/craigslist-to-establish-first-uc-berkeley-endowed-chair-in-new-media/

And here is a UC article about the chair

Even MSNBC chimed in here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22711794/

SFGate chimed in also but show $113 million from Hewlett http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2008/01/17/MN19UGDJ1.DTL
