Well, writing is hard, and this effort reminds me that I'm not real good at it.
I do reflect on the moment where I preface a comment that I'm a nerd; the question was the "why don't we sell out?" thing. Maybe I'm comparatively polished now, but still, at heart, I got that nerd outlook, have to work consciously on the social thing.
When I made the comment, Stephen reached across and shook my hand.
Me, I read too much science fiction. He's a little younger, and I think it involved a lot of SF, and also a lotta D&D...?

I'd say you did pretty well - even regular media personalities sometimes crumble under the weight of his Colbert-ness. Though I guess he didn't go too hard on you.
Generally speaking, confessing nerdhood can only help your cause. Nothing like setting the bar low!

I think you were great. It was the first time I laid eyes on you, though obviously I am very well aware of who you are. I was impressed. You have an understated style, but who needs more outspoken talking heads anyway?
